Through continuous, rigorous and innovative research, the Department has sought to preserve what the national and international academia has achieved in the field of Private Law, unequivocally contributing to the image and prestige that the young School it belongs to has been building.

The Department is divided into two disciplinary areas, Civil Legal Sciences and Entrepreneurial Legal Sciences, and follows the rigorous and systematic teaching of private law matters, both substantive and adjective, in the undergraduate (in daytime and after-work), master's degree and PhD courses provided by the School. Its responsibilities also include leadership in the course design phase specifically for courses of general law and proposals for the constitution of juries for academic examinations.
